Elaine Liffgens led us on a site visit of 450 Alaskan Way, where rustic roots find a contemporary home. A wooden trellis encourages movement through the lobby, which is long and linear due to below-grade parking constraints. The exposed brick of an adjacent building acts as a feature wall, highlighting the historic character of the Pioneer Square neighborhood. On the 9th floor, a lounge and amenity spaces lead to a roof deck offering panoramic views of the Seattle Waterfront and downtown.
