Consider attending the Liberty Bank Building Art Open House tonight (6-8pm) at Centerstone! It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet local artists working to honor the legacy of Liberty Bank and see initial installation concepts telling the powerful history of Seattle’s Central District. Numerous works of art, including hand-painted murals, mixed-media collage, bronze sculpture and concrete and tile works will be featured throughout the completed building.
We are honored to be working with the unique partnership between Africatown-Central District, Black Community Impact Alliance, Capitol Hill Housing and Centerstone to develop the Liberty Bank Building, a community-led development of 115 affordable apartments and commercial space set to break ground in June.
