The Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) Francia Russell Center received an INpublic Special Mention at this week’s IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter INawards ceremony. With features like these child-height windows, students are immersed in the dance experience from the moment they enter the school and performance center. The design provides a transparent environment for students of all ages to learn, engage and develop their talent. Congratulations to PNB and the entire project team!

A sun-filled public courtyard between the brick office building and residential high-rise at @HeartlinePDX invites tenants and the broader neighborhood to come together. Benches made from locally salvaged timber offer multiple places to rest. Portland artist Horatio Hung-Yan Law added the poem “Make Our Garden Grow” by Richard Wilbur, both carved into the wood and etched in Morse code on glass panels. 📷: @k7scott
