This palette for Blakely Elementary School is all about its Bainbridge Island forest setting. Warm neutrals and mossy textures capture the forest floor, with a nod to lichen’s vibrant color at the micro level. We’re particularly excited that the library’s lichen-inspired carpet was designed nearby on the island and is Red List free! 📷: Zhenru Zhang

Before becoming an architect, David Bullaro was a chef. He recently spiced up our work day with hands-on exploration of salsa (not the dance). 📷: Zhenru Zhang

What an incredible weekend of festivities to celebrate the new Nordic Museum! Highlights include opening remarks by the President of Iceland and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess of Denmark, as well as ambassadors to the US from the five Nordic countries, and other international and local leaders. It is such a pleasure see the museum fill with patrons, art, music and cultural exchange!
