It was fantastic to have @anniewrightschools Upper School for Boys in our Seattle office for a design crit about their work on a tiny house for the Nicklesville Georgetown Tiny House Village. We were impressed by the students’ creative utilization of limited space—working together through the design problem, building spaces in 3D and refining the design with clever detailing. We look forward to seeing the final product! 📷: Zhenru Zhang

We are excited to join with Seattle architecture and design firms in an effort to raise money for Music4Life, a local non-profit that donates musical instruments to public schools for use by students in need. For the Opensquare #SeattleBassline charity auction, Mithun designers created a custom tabletop design inspired by the soulfulness of jazz music, the evocative lines of its instruments, and the contrasting expression of feelings that jazz communicates through improvisation. What a great opportunity to fuse creativity, community and charity! http://www.open-sq.com/bassline-table-social-charity-auction/

Work hard, play hard! Since 2002, we’ve held biennial summer and winter games coinciding with the Olympics. The week-long celebration of teamwork, speed and ingenuity is a highlight of the season. Competition is fierce as athletes fight for the thrill of victory and top medal standing. This year’s events included the two-person skeleton race, biathlon, hockey and everyone’s favorite, the Barbie ski jump. 📷: @barronpeper
