Mithun celebrated Earth Day on Saturday with a day of service at Washington Park Arboretum. We had a great time together removing invasive species and helping to preserve the natural beauty of this local treasure. đź“·: George Gibbs

Join us in celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Seward Park Audubon Center! It was a pleasure working with Audubon Washington and Seattle Parks and Recreation on the local environmental education center, and we're excited to mark this occasion by sponsoring Bird Week 2018.
Check out the spectrum of events, culminating on Saturday, April 28th with BIRD DAY. This is a great opportunity to explore Seattle's best birding areas with the city’s most experienced guides. Locate a free Bird Day bird walk in your neighborhood under the headline “Go Birding!” http://sewardpark.audubon.org/programs/bird-week
The annual HEADLINES exhibit is now underway at the University of Washington College of Built Environments. Visit Gould Hall through April 27 to view the show, which showcases the genesis and evolution of design ideas at Washington firms. Look for Mithun's presentation of the Nordic Museum design while you’re there! http://archpac.be.uw.edu/headlines/

We’re closing off National Library Week with another favorite: the @SeattleU Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons. Built in 1964, Lemieux Library was an uninviting repository for books that lacked modern technology and functionality. The design reinvents this campus landmark by pairing a sensitive renewal of the historic structure with the addition of a light-filled learning commons, restoring the library’s central role on campus. In honor of National Library Week we’re sharing Newcastle Library, an iconic landmark at the center of Newcastle’s evolving civic village. Sited in the heart of the retail core, the library’s transparent façade and glowing Gathering Porch welcome the community inside. Eye-catching orange acrylic seating platforms allow visitors to read outside on nice days or linger over a conversation. Inside, flexible reading and meeting spaces are a comfortable destination to gain knowledge, join a community discussion, attend a reading or sink into a good book. 📷: Benjamin Benschneider
