We recently joined with hundreds of Blakely Elementary School students in yellow construction hats to help celebrate the groundbreaking of construction on their new school. We’re all excited to see the replacement facility take shape over the coming year! It’s been wonderful collaborating with @bainbridgeislandschooldistrict, the local community, @forma_construction, and our incredible design team including @arupamericas, PCS Structural Solutions, LPD Engineering, JLR Design Group and Robinson Company. Timber Towers. Inspired by the fantastic International Mass Timber Conference in Portland this week, we’re sharing a view of our work with Katerra developing a prototype student housing community using cross-laminated timber (CLT) technology to transform the way buildings are delivered and perceived. We’re actively studying this rapidly renewable structural material for different building typologies, and are excited by the prospects. Image: Plompmozes
