What an incredible journey! We are grateful to the residents of North Richmond for sharing their hopes, dreams and priorities for their community’s future with the Mithun Home Team as part of the Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge. Recent highlights: Children painting sea level rods on Earth Day for temporary installation in Dotson Marsh to visualize sea level change in their community. Courtney and Miss Maria giving a tour through Urban Tilth Farm, which builds community, provides fresh food and fosters career paths for local residents through restoration training. And, finally, the champion of ouR-HOME: the fantastic North Richmond Community Advisory Board, including a diverse group of local residents, elected officials, public agencies and community organizations. Thank you, all! 📷: Sam Holman

This palette for Blakely Elementary School is all about its Bainbridge Island forest setting. Warm neutrals and mossy textures capture the forest floor, with a nod to lichen’s vibrant color at the micro level. We’re particularly excited that the library’s lichen-inspired carpet was designed nearby on the island and is Red List free! 📷: Zhenru Zhang
Before becoming an architect, David Bullaro was a chef. He recently spiced up our work day with hands-on exploration of salsa (not the dance). 📷: Zhenru Zhang
