Transforming Streets into Parks! Construction of Gemenskap Park began in Seattle’s East Ballard neighborhood this week. The project with Seattle Parks and Recreation converts two full blocks of an existing street into public open space providing improved safety, green stormwater treatment, a multi-use path for biking and neighborhood greenway connections. The new park will convert street right-of-way to provide green stormwater infrastructure, open space and a multi-use path in East Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.
