The building design honors the historical character of adjacent buildings in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, while presenting a modern, deeply-green interpretation. This past weekend marked the birthday of our firm founder, Omer Mithun. A beloved professor at the University of Washington, he founded the practice in 1949 and grew the firm with award-winning work throughout the Pacific Northwest. His legacy continues today within Mithun’s mission, interdisciplinary practice, and commitment to education and environment. Happy Birthday, Omer!
