We are excited to support the Design with Nature Now conference starting TODAY at The Ian McHarg Center for Urbanism + Ecology! A core conference theme, Fresh Waters reminds us of our pollinator garden at 2060 Folsom in San Francisco’s Mission District, where field research for planting types, soil and water regimes led to our community engagement and development of a garden to attract native pollinators. The landscape design ties into the historic hydrology of Mission Creek and Laguna-Dolores Lake. Our plant palette was built on research provided by The Urban Bee Lab at UC Berkeley and our gracious volunteers were San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department Urban Agriculture and Community Gardens Program and PODER (SF) In Chan Kaajal Park Community Garden. #DesignWithNatureNow #DesignforPositiveChange #landscapearchitecture #landarch #climatechange #ASLA #landscapedesign Landscape Architecture Foundation American Society of Landscape Architects
