Harmonizing Heritage and Place

Skanska Office

Seattle, WA

A Culture of Comfort and Warmth

Influenced by the company’s Swedish origins, design cues and cultural elements throughout the workplace nod to heritage. The office radiates warmth through color, materials and inviting seating. Custom details celebrate craft, such as CLT planters, use of steel and cable that mimic the job site, and use of a crane sign as a light fixture.

Business and Development

The new office, housed in a structure Skanska developed and built, provides a home in the city for three divisional teams. Strategically positioned social spaces foster a vibrant atmosphere as attendance ebbs and flows with project and business cycles. Adaptable event and amenity zones provide space for large parties, executive retreats and visiting colleagues.

Office as Perch

Located on the 10th floor with panoramic windows, the space maximizes its setting with views and sunlight, reminiscent of an observation deck overlooking the changing city. Strategically positioned window seats encircle the perimeter, framing iconic Seattle scenes. Surprises abound, from custom wallpapers featuring Skanska-built projects to the “wall of curiosities” showcasing local team artistry.
