Integrating Services and Place
The campus brings together programs provided by Navos and its legacy organizations within a pastoral setting on the shores of Lake Burien. The master plan is centered on the child, interweaving buildings and landscape to support a constant connection with nature and enrich the Center’s ‘Engagement Model of Care.’
Pioneering Model for Care
With a welcoming, camp-like atmosphere designed to reduce stigma, the campus offers an array of programs that address the complex needs of young children, school-aged youth, young adults and families. This is a safe, therapeutic environment tailored to provide children and youth with the treatment and support they need to heal.
Connection to Nature
New buildings are interspersed with native plant communities to create a layered, permeable transition from lakeside to upland forest. Sustainable design is integrated throughout the campus, from supporting wetland biodiversity at stream banks to energy efficient systems at all buildings.
