ASSOCIATE PRINCIPALS
New Associate Principals are Annie Rummelhoff, Chi Aoyama, Evan Bourquard, Hilary Noll, Katharine Favret and May So. Annie Rummelhoff is an interior architect who brings integrated perspective to a broad mix of project types, from creative workplaces to affordable housing and cultural facilities. Efforts include the acclaimed Louisiana Children’s Museum in New Orleans, the Perot Family Offices in Dallas, and Balboa Park Upper Yard affordable housing in San Francisco.
Chi Aoyama is a designer with expertise in mass timber and experience spanning academic, workplace and hospitality programs as well as mixed-use complexes up to two million square feet in scale. He is a skilled contributor to projects including UC San Diego Nuevo East Student Housing and Mithun R+D, leveraging computational design and visualization tools to resolve complex needs and advance design process.
Evan Bourquard is a detail-oriented project manager known for his skill at leading complex renovations for civic and higher education clients, including historic structures and buildings with ongoing operations during construction. Recent projects include the award-winning ARTS at King Street Station, and multiple academic building renovations for the University of Washington.
Hilary Noll is an architect and sustainability integration leader whose passion for community resilience and affordable housing is evident within trailblazing projects like Maceo May Apartments and the Resilient by Design Bay Area Challenge, a collaboration with North Richmond communities to address sea level rise and deliver health and wealth benefits for historically disinvested communities.
Katharine Favret has 20 years of experience with the design of built environments from urban multifamily housing to university academic and student life communities, and K-12 schools. She is a senior project architect with particular skill at leading technically complex projects like the new 1,793-bed UCLA Lot 15 Residence Halls.
May So is an architect with extensive experience leading urban mixed-use projects that connect people and place to create sustainable, socially equitable cities. Active nationally with the Urban Land Institute, May’s portfolio of work includes 25 highrises representing more than 6,800 residential units and 1.4 million square feet of commercial space.
